School Behavioral Health Academy PD and Practices District of the Year Award (Open Application + SBHA Internal Data Review)

The School Behavioral Health Academy District of the Year Award acknowledges the district that demonstrates an outstanding commitment to professional development focused on the mental health and wellbeing of the youth and families in their community. This award is presented to the district whose dedication to excellence is reflected by having faculty and staff complete at least one course featured in the Academy Learning Management System along with their proactive approach to effective planning, communication, and promotion of evidence-based practices in mental health.

Qualifications for Nomination by the SBHA Team and SSBHC Leadership:

To be eligible for this award, districts should showcase:

Academy LMS Participation: The district should have representation of staff and/or faculty participation in, and completion of, at least one course in the Academy LMS system.

Commitment to Excellence: Nominees should exemplify a strong commitment to professional development in the field of mental health and well-being.

Effective Planning and Communication: The district should demonstrate a well-structured plan for professional development and effective communication strategies to engage staff and faculty.

Promotion of Evidence-Based Practices: The professional development pursuits should focus on evidence-based practices in mental health.
